So a while ago I decided that a standard responsibility for my girls will be personal assistants. I'll be further defining that role as time goes on. I'm not looking to just make up a job and have people do it. I want you to know that you're actually helping me and doing something that matters. I have changed my profile to let people know they should contact you when I'm offline rather than sending me an offline IM or sending me a notecard. Most of the people who contact me offline are actually wanting to talk about the FL HUD, in which case I offer 0 support and usually ignore them.

So I think everyone knows this already, but I absolutely love these books. The first 3 I plowed through pretty quickly, but I only got about halfway through the 4th while in thailand and it got buried before I could finish. Well I've been really trying to pick it up for a chapter a night. The first 3 were full novels. The 4th is more like a bunch of short stories by guest authors, told in the form of flashbacks during a yearly conference of slave trainers. Mostly even the stories written from a trainers point of view are really from a switch point of view.

So yesterday I had to be here from 9am-1pm to wait for the cable guy. I had 16mb cable hooked up. Its pretty crazy actually. Doing a speed test using speakeasy I almost maxed out their speed meter. Downloading ubuntu using bittorrent got me to a couple megs in seconds. This is going to be nice I think. After that we got a u-haul and loaded up the big stuff. It really didn't take long to get it loaded and unloaded. The house is still a mess, but the apt we're moving to is staying fairly clean since I'm only moving over stuff I know I need.

I'm moving starting today. I'm not sure when I'll have net access again or when I'll stop having it at my old place yet. I'll be around so keep doing blogs and emailing me. I just might not check them daily.

I've linked image galleries from the main menu. When you upload an image, select a gallery to put it in. If no gallery fits what you want, make a new one. I believe house members should have access to the image gallery admin page now. I'm not sure how it works though, I'd guess you can see just one or 2 links on the admin page :)

Today is the first day in months, actually most of the year, that its rained. It is probably also only the second time this year its rained. Now its not a strong rain, but it is falling :) Normally we just get fog. Horror movie style fog, which makes driving up the very large hills here with no guardrails pretty damn scary. The rain doesn't actually drop. So I'm excited. I'd be giddy if it would just start with the thunder and lightning! :) Unfortunately the sun and rain are fighting right now, and its only raining in small spurts.

I've turned on anonymous comments. I've avoided it so far, but I installed a fairly good spam filter. Anyone able to post a blog has also had administer comments turned on. So if you see a spam comment you can report it as spam and remove it from the blog. If the comments turn out to be mostly spam, I can turn moderating of the comments on or just plain remove their access again. This will hopefully allow those of you who give out your blog links a way for people to talk back without having to get approved by me.

So I've made another change and decided to push blog entries to the front page so you don't have to go searching for them.  I've also turned on caching to make the system faster.  I think we're good for now and I just need to gather more of the things I want to post.  Once I actually get some time.
 
On a more D/s note,  I'm still trying to think about the changes I want to make to more than just my title.
