So yesterday I had to be here from 9am-1pm to wait for the cable guy. I had 16mb cable hooked up. Its pretty crazy actually. Doing a speed test using speakeasy I almost maxed out their speed meter. Downloading ubuntu using bittorrent got me to a couple megs in seconds. This is going to be nice I think. After that we got a u-haul and loaded up the big stuff. It really didn't take long to get it loaded and unloaded. The house is still a mess, but the apt we're moving to is staying fairly clean since I'm only moving over stuff I know I need. Today I have to go through whats still left in the old house to see what I still want and whats trash. I also need to start buying stuff for this apt. A new tv, entertainment center, maybe a new bed. That kind of thing.
Plus I need to plan out how I'm going to cable the apt with cat5 and still have it look good. I found a 100ft spool of cat5e at home depot. Not the cheapest for the length, but better than moving up for a 500' or 1k roll. Unfortunately I'm not handy and neither is my roomate, so I'm not sure how we'll get that done. There were some mormon missionaries walking through the complex yesterday. They offered to help us move, but we were on the last piece of furniture so we decline and thanked them. I wonder if one of them has any talents for hiding cat 5 along baseboards without damaging the wire or the wood :) If they're compelled to help me by their church, I wonder if its wrong to use them as slave labor :)

the way we did it we used
the way we did it we used these plastic u shaped cable holds you can nail into the wood, or you could get those stick holds if you dont want to naile them in but it wont look as clean. i sugest the nails it holds better and doesnt look so tacky. i can end a picture if you dont know what i mean.
Yay! I'm glad to hear that
Yay! I'm glad to hear that You've got good internet already, and I hope the settling in part of Your move goes smoothly. I don't think using them as slave labor is wrong, and certainly not if You're the one doing it :)
