Busy Day

(Edit: for some reason my images aren't showing up in this posting. hopefully my Lady Natasha can help me figure out why, but that may not be until after she gets back. I'll make a note as soon as I get it figured out.)

We got a lot done today. My roomate found a new $750 glass topped stove that had slight damage on the side marked down to $200.

We had had a shelf over our old stove and were worried about something falling off of it and breaking the glass top. Roomate's stepfather, who's a retired engineer and was helping us do the house wiring that I''l get to in a moment decided to give us an early Christmas present of two new cabinets.

That's the wall over the stove after we removed the shelf and drilled holes to find our studs.

Stepdad also gifted us a ceiling fan he'd gotten used for $5. :-) We had to wire in a fixture in the living room for that, and also wired a wall switch for it. We needed the ceiling fan to help the wood stove we put in a couple of weeks ago heat the whole house.
