Well, Petra didn't take long, I got a notice about all my stuff being returned in my email today.

So, a little while ago I popped in a DVD of Keith Richards and the X-Pensive Winos recorded live at the Hollywood Bowl on Dec. 15th 1988. Which is a significant date for me because it's also the day I got sober. :-)

I apologize for not posting a journal entry every day, Honestly, I don't get on SL much during the week, and there usually isn't much to say about RL except "went to school and did some homework". However, I do promise to post regularly.

(Edit: for some reason my images aren't showing up in this posting. hopefully my Lady Natasha can help me figure out why, but that may not be until after she gets back. I'll make a note as soon as I get it figured out.)

We got a lot done today. My roomate found a new $750 glass topped stove that had slight damage on the side marked down to $200.

Added pics to my RL Building post

My roommate and I spent the afternoon putting in a tile back splash over our kitchen sink and counter. It came out really nice. He did most of the laying of the tile and I did most of the cutting. We briefly tried starting a tile business a few years ago and did a few jobs for people we knew, but it never really took off after that. So I've cut tile before but it's been a while. Fortunately he and the guy he mostly works with these days bought a really nice Rigid tile saw not long ago, so it made it pretty much of a breeze.

does anyone know what machine is good to buy to convert vhs to dvd? im totaly confused what will work without ruining the video.

So wow, it's been a long time since I last posted anything here. I feel bad about that, but the fact is I've just been swamped busy. A project at work is nearing it's delivery date. Of course in these final few weeks all of the ugly issues are popping up and need to be dealt with, which is taking a good deal of time. I hope soon though things will get back to normal, and I'll be able to be around more, both posting entries here and spending time in SL.

I probably won't have a lot to post on weeknights. I doubt I'll get into SL tonight, I have homework to do and I hope to get to bed fairly early.

If you're interested, I have Typography and Design tomorrow. The Typo homework is kind of hard to describe, but it's thumbnails (rough sketches, basically) for a project we're working on.

For Design, I need to finish an icon for a fictional company using an african animal, in my case a rhino.
